The Sage Screening Program (formerly the Minnesota Breast and Cervical Cancer Control Program) is a statewide program that offers free breast and cervical cancer screening for uninsured or underinsured women over 40 in Minnesota.  Free screening service is available at over 350 clinics statewide for eligible women.

Established in 1991, the Sage Screening Program has served over 85,000 women, provided over 240,000 screening tests, and arranged for, or provided funding for over 23,000 diagnostic procedures for women with abnormal screening tests.

Annual mammography has been shown to reduce breast cancer mortality by detecting breast cancer in its earliest stages.

Free services are available for women who have inadequate insurance coverage for screening services - including women whose coverage requires co-payments or deductibles.

You are eligible for a FREE mammogram if...

bulletYou are age 40 or over
bulletYou have no health insurance or you have insurance with unmet deductibles
bulletYour insurance does not cover screening
bulletAnd you meet a generous income guideline

To find out further information, please call the Minnesota Department of Health toll-free at 1-888-6-HEALTH or (651) 297-7391.  This is an ongoing program that provides a yearly source of free screening to eligible women.  Tell your friends, family, and neighbors to call today!
